I'm Rory Fischer, a registered psychologist with a special interest in cognition and the brain. My work focuses on cognitive assessment, rehabilitation, and brain health, by helping adults understand how their mind is working, and what they can do with that understanding.

I've worked clinically and conducted research across public, private, and university settings in Australia, Canada, and the Netherlands, which keeps my practice informed by current international research and best practice. My academic training, completed across several universities, has given me both a broad and a distinctive perspective on psychology and cognitive assessment.

My main areas of research have been traumatic brain injury, mild cognitive impairment, dementia, and healthy brain ageing. Clinically, I have experience providing cognitive assessments and rehabilitation, psychological therapy, and brain health support. This includes clients with intellectual disability, ADHD, and specific learning disorders; people who have experienced an acquired brain injury through trauma, stroke, or substance use; those living with neurodegenerative conditions such as Parkinson's, Alzheimer's, frontotemporal, Lewy body, and vascular dementia, as well as people experiencing psychological difficulties such as anxiety, adjustment, and mood difficulties.
